I just realized that I moved into the new house one week ago today. Wow. How quickly time goes. I know I still need to recap the past couple of days, but sometimes I feel the longer posts are quickly looked over.  In the past week, this has happened:

  • Got a new car! Yay! Was hoping to hang on my good ol’ Explorer until June when I have a couple of bills paid off, but of course things sometimes don’t go as planned. I am now the proud new owner of a 2012 Nissan Rogue. I love it! I test drove the car and it only had 10 miles on it - eek! This is my first brand new car. I bought my Explorer a couple of years used with about 30K on it. This one has some spiffy features, and I’m just loving the feeling of driving a car that is brand new!
  • Unpacked a majority of the house. Still need to focus on the organization of the office and the finishing touches on my bedroom. 
  • My to-do list and to-buy list keep growing. 
  • I have only met one neighbor, who is my pal Raymond, who is about 80+ and lives with his wife and dog Penny and shares a fence with us. I’m kind of bummed I haven’t met anyone else. 
  • Sunday will be the last time I go to the condo. We’re getting the carpets cleaned and conducting our walk-through with our prior landlord. Here’s to hoping we’ll get our full deposit back!
